Are you ready
for paradise? We currently have 65 people signed up for
this trip and can take just 5 more. We were able to add 10 more
seats on our air but at a slightly higher rate so new sign-ups
are now paying $200 more for a total of $2.789. This time we will
be spending 3 nights just off the mainland of Viti Levu, not far
from the capital of Nadi and then 5 nights at Plantation Island.
We will fly direct on Pacific Airlines from LAX departing
the evening of Thursday, August 21st and arriving early on Saturday
(you lose Friday due to the time zone) giving us a full 9-days!
The Fiji Islands in the South Pacific are
an archipelago of over 333 islands packed with attractions that can be
found no where else. Fiji has an unspoiled, unique environment of
extreme beauty and tranquility. Adrift for millennia in splendid
isolation in the blue of the South Pacific it has escaped the evils of
industrial progress. They are absolutely beautiful and offer plenty
activities.
Our first resort is called Sonaisali
and is a true island escape although it's only a three-minute boat
ride across the lagoon from the main island of Viti-Levu. From this resort we have
easy access to explore the many varied and exciting attractions of the
mainland, or neighboring Mamanuca Islands. We will have several
optional activities planned during our stay here to enjoy the lush
beauty of the surrounding hills and valleys including trekking
to a beautiful waterfall and visiting a therapeutic mud pool and
hot springs; there's the off-road
cave safari that sounds wonderful; maybe you'd like to
snorkel or scuba dive with the manta rays; or how about
visiting the rainforest and highlands with a waterfall? The tour
choices are really endless really. And
it wouldn't be a bad idea to just relax for a day at our beautiful
4-star resort that also features complimentary kayaking, canoeing,
windsurfing, Hobie cats, tennis, volleyball and nightly entertainment
and cultural performances. In addition there is a fine
dining restaurant. We also picked this location to give us easy access
to the Denaru marina where there are many other choices for dining and
entertainment.
Upon arriving at our resort you will be able to leave your bags in a
secure room for the day while we all head off for a
wonderful day on the Cagi Malua Catamaran. Our day will be spent
cruising the Mamanuca
Islands and on Plantation Sand Bank. Morning and afternoon Tea are included along with a BBQ
lunch, soft
drinks and local alcohol drinks. Can you think of a better way to start

After 3-nights
we'll be transported over to our next resort. The Plantation Island Resort is nestled on the 553 acre
island
of Malolo LaiLai, part of the
Mamanuca Group of islands and
is just 10 miles offshore. Plantation Island Resort utilizes 23 acres of
tropical landscaped gardens and coconut palms and has 7km of white sandy
beaches!
Plantation Island lies just 10 miles
west of Nadi on Malolo lailai Island. Renowned for its pristine white
sandy beaches and crystal blue waters, Plantation is only a 50 minute
“Malolo Cat” boat ride from Port Denarau Marina in Nadi.
There is a wide range of
leisure activities and cultural excursions to choose from including
snorkeling, golfing, scuba diving, massage and even surfing.
The resort offers daily FREE snorkeling trips and we will also
set up an optional full day of island hopping that was just a perfect
day on our last trip.
The
scuba divers will love Fiji as well as the dive shop that we will be
using. This ranks as one of, if not THE best diving I have ever done,
and this includes the Great Barrier Reef and Belize! Just amazing
coral - both soft and hard and a wide variety of sea life.
Relax around the many pools or swim in the beautiful
blue water
lagoon. Our
stay will also include a daily complimentary breakfast buffet, complimentary
use of kayaks and windsurfers, snorkel equipment and nightly
entertainment! We can choose to
eat at their restaurant for dinner or walk nearby for other dining
options (nice that we are not locked in to only their dining). All rooms have a refrigerator
